St. Paul Island - The Graveyard of the Gulf.
There are over 350 recorded shipwrecks on St. Paul Island (Nova Scotia) with less than 10 % of them found, combine this with over 100 feet of visibility in the water column and the potential for discovering new shipwrecks is unlimited. Wreck Hunter Inc. has been organizing expeditions to explore and dive St. Paul Island since 1995. Over the past 8 years our expeditions have resulted in hundreds of logged dives and we have been credited with the discovery of many new shipwrecks from the 17th and 18th Century.
Because of it's off shore location in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, St. Paul Island has virtually remained unexplored and untouched. With a history that dates back to the 1600's there is an unlimited potential for exploration and discovery. St. Paul Island still holds the key to much unfound treasure and yet to be discovered history. Typical Duration: 1-hour slide show followed by 30 minute Q & A period.
