For Shipwrecks & Sunken Treasure Museum
As an avid collector of shipwreck and nautical memorabilia, I am in search of an individual, organization or business interested in exploring a potential arrangement with me to permanently or seasonally house and display my privately owned shipwreck related collection. Over 25 years in the making, the Wreck Hunter “Shipwreck and Sunken Treasure Museum” is an impressive collection of shipwreck and nautical memorabilia. Professionally displayed and promoted it could easily be a major tourist attraction that would enhance any tourism related business.
A partial listing of the collection includes several hundred rare, old bottles recovered from various harbours, bays and inlets in Nova Scotia as well as a fascinating assortment of plaque-mounted posters and photographs of ships, underwater and surface video footage enhance these various displays. Also included in the collection are rare models of tall ships that were handmade by prominent Nova Scotians. The collection's special exhibits cover areas of keen local interest such as the Titanic, St. Paul Island, the L’Auguste shipwreck in Aspy Bay as well as various other Cape Breton shipwrecks. Worthy of particular note is a unique, antique diving equipment exhibit that dates from the early 1900's. The collection is vast and there are simply too many items to list.
